First skin consultation with Clinique

(Okay, this post maybe a bit back dated but I'm going to pretend it's not and write it anyway =P).

I ever use samples from Clinique called Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (well I actually got it from my bf's MBO Cinema's Movie Marathon 2010 goodie bag, haha!) The texture was great!

As you can see in the picture, the moisturizer is actually gel like, thus it is not sticky or heavy like other cream or lotion type moisturizer.

I like the fact that it doesn’t feel sticky when applied onto my face because I simply just don't like the sticky or oily feeling on my face. I'm sure that most of you are the same when comes to this.

Okay now, let's talk about Clinique 3-Step Skin Care System. It’s said to be able to get skin clear, smooth, glowing – in just 2 weeks. Guaranteed or your money back! Wao true or not? Haha. But never try never know right? And as the name suggested, the whole skin care is only three steps, cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize.

So recently, I came across an eye catching update of Clinique Malaysia on Facebook. In conjunction of the introduction of the new series (I think it's new 'cause I haven't seen it before this, but I can't confirm that it's definitely new release from Clinique), they are giving out samples on the new 3-Step Skin Care System. (Sorry but the sample redemption has ended on the 9th August. > <)

Before giving you the sample, they would need to consult your skin condition and types so that they could give you the sample that suits your skin type. I’ve never had any consultation on my skin before so I’m all excited and looking forward to it =) It's actually quite fast and after a few questions from the beauty consultant, I have my result. I’m a dry combination.

This was kind of shocking. 'Cause I've always thought that my skin is dry to very dry or oily! *shocked* I really have little to no knowledge on skin cares regimes so I guess I would be forgiven for that. LOL!!

Oh! There are generally 4 skin types. 1)Dry to very dry 2) Dry combi (which would mean having dry skin in general and a bit of oiliness at the T-zone, forehead and nose and spread a little towards the cheeks) 3) Oily 4) Very oily. They do provide skin analysis on their website, so if you’re someone like me who does know much about our own skin, you could check it out here.

Overall I would say that I have good skin, *self praise* but I do need to work hard keeping my face moisturize so there won't be any fine lines appearing soon! OMG! *calms self down*

Okay! So it means more moisturizer, hydrating mask and wash my face daily using CLEANSER (which is hard 'cause I usually just wash with tap water, and I don’t even know that's washing my face or just to slap water onto my face and rub), apply sun protection foundation/BB cream/tinted moiturizer or just anything that has SPF and can protect my skin from the harmful rays.

I haven't start using the sample though, but will keep you updated on the results I get after using, especially the moisturizer. I got 2 for different skin type, dry combi and oily. I told the consultant that I don't like the oily feeling after applying moisturizer. Thus, the 2 moisturizer. (lotion for dry combi skin and gel for oily skin) MUAHAHA!

They are giving out just small sample. By "small", I mean really SMALL, 1.5ml each in a packet. It's like you can only use once for each pack. So I can't guarantee that I can see any effect of it on my face but I will try my best to write down the result after usage. Every single detail of it. =)

Here come pictures of the samples for your eyes so they wouldn’t get tired after reading all of my yadda yadda Clinique experience yadda yadda. HAHA!

The 3-Step Skin Care System I got for my dry combi skin and an extra of moisturizer for oily skin.

See how thin it is!

Around palm size.

And a random picture of my nails. Colors bought at The Face Shop, The Spring.
Nice right? Especially the green. Love it! ❤
